Pursuant to the contents of EU Regulation 2016/679, updated to the corrigenda published in the Official Journal of the European Union 127 of 23 May 2018, transposed in Italy by Law no. 163 of 2017 (European delegation law 2016-2017), article 13,

Conditions of Sale

Guarantee for the User: If you are a resident of a country of the European Union and purchase a course with payment in several monthly instalments, you are guaranteed the so-called "cooling-off period": you have 14 days from the activation of the course to reconsider the purchase and receive a refund of the first instalment paid, which will cover the lessons paid for that month and not taken and the monthly online course fee for the days from the moment you exercise your right to reconsider until the end of the month, the contractual relationship will in any case be terminated
Contract commencement and duration: the licence to use the purchased package starts on the course activation date, which coincides with the completion of the registration process and placement test by the user, and remains valid for the number of months corresponding to the solution selected at the time of purchase, without prejudice to the provisions set out above regarding the 12-month period available to activate the course from the date of payment and the withdrawal period.
Detail:

  1. Purchase of monthly course or several monthly instalments of a self-study online course (My Course ©) of value X >> no later than the first 14 days from the date  of the activation of the course you send written notice that you intend to withdraw by taking advantage of the "Cooling-Off Period"  >> You are within the 14 DAY Cooling-Off Period:   reimbursement will be for the percentage of course days not used (e.g. 20 days out of 30); in the case of a course structured over several monthly instalments, the subsequent instalments will be cancelled: the contractual relationship will be terminated.
  2. Purchase of a monthly course or of several monthly instalments of a self-instructional online course (My Course ©) of value X >  after the first 14 days from the date of activation of the course you send written notice that you intend to withdraw by taking advantage of the "Cooling-Off Period"  The "Cooling-Off Period" has expired, therefore nothing will be refunded; however, in the case of a course structured over several monthly instalments, all subsequent instalments will be cancelled and nothing else will be due: the contractual relationship is terminated.
  3. Purchase of monthly course or over several monthly instalments, Self-Instructional Online Course + Lessons with the Lecturer (Group and/or Individual (SPEAK & WRITE INDIVIDUAL © or SPEAK & WRITE GROUP ©  of value X > no later than the first 14 days after from the activation of the course, you send written notice that you intend to withdraw under the "Cooling-Off Period" and you have taken n-lessons out of the total number of lessons envisaged: the reimbursement will be for the lessons not taken and the calculation of the online course will follow the same proportion; in the case of a course structured over several monthly instalments, the subsequent instalments will be cancelled: the contractual relationship will be terminated.
  4. Purchase of monthly course or over several monthly instalments, Self-Instructional Online Course + Lessons with the Lecturer (Group and/or Individual (SPEAK & WRITE INDIVIDUAL © or SPEAK & WRITE GROUP ©  of value X > after the first 14 days from the date  of activation of the course you send written notice that you intend to withdraw by taking advantage of the "Cooling-Off Period"  and you have taken n-lessons out of the planned total"  >>> The RETENTION PERIOD HAS EXPIRED >> nothing will be refunded; however, in the case of a course structured over several monthly instalments, all subsequent instalments will be cancelled and nothing else will be due: the contractual relationship shall be terminated.


Registering for the course starts the payment process, the first instalment paid in e-commerce mode and then the calculation of the "cooling-off period" begins.

From the moment you make the first payment you have 12 months to take the test: from that moment onwards the calculation of the course and therefore also of the Cooling-Off Period begins, whether it is an online course (My Course © ) or a Speak & Write © Individual or Speak & Write © Group course.

  • My Course© PRO: Activation of this self-study section is NOT automatic. After checking your test and on the basis of your result, a teacher will assign the most suitable General English course for your skills. This takes about 2 working days. My Course© modules on the EduCentre© are available 24 hours a day for the duration of the purchased licence. Once you have completed 100% of your course, you have the option of requesting up to 4 courses in total: once your licence period has expired, you will no longer be able to access the course.

    Individual Lessons: the user chooses and customises the subject he/she wants the lesson to focus on and the mode of execution, audio-video, and can also share a document, audio, simulating a telephone call, or can write or deposit a document he/she has written in English:
    • Audio-video or audio lessons last 45': each lesson represents one credit.
    • Writing lessons take place asynchronously: each credit entitles the user to have a document corrected up to 1,500 characters spaced
      • INDIVIDUAL AUDIO-VIDEO LESSONS:
        Both for individual audio-video and/or audio lessons and for group lessons, once in the Educentre© platform, on the calendar page of the scheduled event, by clicking on the available slot (green icon) you will be able to make a booking, the system will show the name of the lecturer: at that point you will have to confirm the booking and the booking will be confirmed.
        To make the lesson, by entering the EduCentre© Platform with your credentials and accessing the "Speak & Write" agenda in the 10 minutes before the session, the "ENTER" icon will appear, allowing you to enter the lesson. Each conversation session lasts 45 minutes; recommended frequency: weekly.
      • BOOKING/CANCELLATION:Lessons can be booked up to 1 hour before their start time, and cancellation is possible up to 2 hours before the start time.
      • CREDIT:Credit planning foresees the following fruition: maximum 1 lesson per day, maximum 3 per week, maximum 8 per month.
        To participate in the lessons in the virtual classroom the student must be equipped with a broadband internet connection, PC, video camera, headphones and microphone and not have audio/video blocks in the settings (e.g. due to Firewall or company restrictions): it is not the responsibility of our company if the user is unable to use the course due to their own technical problems.
      • INDIVIDUAL WRITING ASSISTANCE:
        If you wish to take advantage of the writing-assistance function, a teacher will correct the document you have written in English, highlighting its critical points, improving its quality and proposing a series of suggestions (in this case the mode is a-synchronous: each INDIVIDUAL credit will allow you to upload a document of up to 1. 500 spaced characters, in practice this is the standard 25-line translation folder with 60 characters per line, which after a few days will be reviewed and corrected by the teacher, who will have highlighted in red the error, in green the correct text and in blue the comment and any grammar reference. For every 1500 characters used in Writing Assistance, 1 Individual Credit is consumed.

    GROUP CONVERSATION SESSIONS:
    users have three levels (Easy for levels A1 and A2 and Fluent for levels B1 and Expert B2- C1) at their disposal for each calendar day, and will only view the lessons of their own level and the topics covered in the lesson.
    The number of students admitted to each lesson is up to a maximum of 4 participants: once the 4 participants have been reached, no other users will be allowed to enter the lesson. Once the session has been booked, an "ENTER" icon will appear in the "Speak & Write" diary in the 10 minutes prior to the session, allowing you to enter the lesson. Each conversation session lasts 45 minutes; recommended frequency: weekly.
    BOOKING/CANCELLATION:. Lessons can be booked up to 1 hour before their start time, and cancellations can be made up to 2 hours before the start time.

    FINAL ATTESTATION: at the end of the course, following the students' request for the Final Test, a Level Certificate will be issued showing the Cambridge CEFR COE level obtained on completion of the course. The CEFR COE Standard Certificate is not a certification exam, as it takes place in front of an internationally recognised Board and has legal value with Public Administration bodies; British School Global also offers Certification solutions that can be carried out remotely through International Bodies accredited with the Ministry of Education and Merit (MIUR) but these solutions must be requested separately and have a specific value.

    It is possible to give a course as a gift: in this case the beneficiary must register with his or her e-mail and personal data when the course is activated.

    RECESS:.the right of withdrawal is exercised on the basis of the terms and conditions applied by the welfare portals. The rules to be followed are set out in the individual agreements and regulations of the corporate welfare plans offered by employers to employees. Any request must be made through the beneficiary portal within which the order was confirmed.

    Child Policy

    • Children from 8 to 11 years of age: may follow Speak & Write Individual (but accompanied by a parent); however, we recommend a personalised approach through a dedicated teacher and with a specific offer: in this case we recommend contacting Dr Manuela Legora (info@britishschool-italia.it)
    • Teens aged 12 to 15 years can take Speak & Write Individual (preferably accompanied by a parent) and My Course but not Speak & Write Group because it requires a minimum age of 16 years.
    • Youths from 16 until the age of 18 can follow Speak & Write Individual and My Course; Speak & Write Group only if accompanied by a parent as the other users are adults
